Competition Type

Choir Competition

Open to choirs and vocal groups from across Indonesia, following the regulations set by the Bandung Choral Society.


For SSCC 2025, there are 4 categories available in the Choir Competition:

  1. Children's Choir

    Participant aged between 7 and 13 years

  2. Youth Choir

    Participant aged between 13 and 18 years

  3. Adult Choir

    Participant aged 18 years and above

  4. Vocal Group

    Encompasses free choices songs

Competition Mechanics

Choir Competition

  • Each participation in every category has maximum 10 minutes to perform 2 songs that counts from first note until the last note is sounded. If the total duration exceeds the allotted time, the total score will be reduced by a penalty of 1 (one) point for every minute that passes.
  • The final score is the total of the average scores of each judge which determined by following criteria:
    1. Intonation
    2. Sound Quality
    3. Fidelity to the Score
    4. Overall Artistic
  • This round uses a total score system of 100 with the final value grouping as follows:
    • Medal Score
    Successful Participation 1,00 - 39,99
    Bronze Medal 40,00 - 59,99
    Silver Medal 60,00 - 79,99
    Gold Medal 80,00 - 100,00
  • The gold medal with the highest score will be announce as the “Winner of Category”.

Prize

Participants who achieve Gold in the top 3 of each category will receive prizes as follows:

  • Top 1: Rp 5.000.000 + Certificate + Throphy
  • Top 2: Rp 3.000.000 + Certificate
  • Top 3: Rp 1.500.000 + Certificate

Participants who demonstrate outstading artistic value and impress the judges will receive special awards as follow:

  • Outstanding Individual or Group Award: 1.000.000 (For 2 winners)
