A.      The categories within this group are classified based on age, gender and type of voice.

B.      The categories in this group are classified based on the type of music and are not limited by age and type of voice.

C.      The category in this group is non-competition

CATEGORY EXPLENATION

Choirs can participate in more than one category and only choose one category from Group A and can choose more than one category from Group B.

·         CATEGORY A

o   Song selection and difficulty level must be age-appropriate.

o   Tolerance, 10% of the number of singers can be 1 – 2 years older/younger than the written age limit. 

·         CATEGORY B

o   MUSICA SACRA

§  This category refers to sacred music (Church Music) from ancient times to the present.

§  Terms of the song:

·         Song from ancient times to romantic era.

·         One song after the romantic era

§  The song must be original from the composer and not Adapted version (arrange) from another composer.

o   TRADITIONAL SPIRITUAL

§  The song program must be an Afro-America Spiritual tradition.

§  Modern gospel song and African folksongs cannot be performed in this category.

o   MUSIC of RELIGION

§  The song program refers to religious music from around the world, such as Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or other faiths.

§  Sacred music and traditional spiritual songs may not be performed in this category.

o   POP & JAZZ [11]

§  Program songs of free choice with type of Pop & Jazz music.

§  In this category, participants can provide their own additional acoustic musical instruments (no amplification).

o   FOLKSONG

§  Program songs must be folk songs that have been adapted in choral performances.

§  It is highly recommended to perform Folksong from the participant’s region.

§  Participants must submit the score of the song along with information regarding the origin and meaning of the song IN ENGLISH.

o   VOCAL GROUP

§  Free choice of songs. Can be performed with instruments and also A-Capella.

§  There is no microphone for this category.

§  Participants prepare their own acoustic musical instruments (no amplification).

·         CATEGORY C

o   NON COMPETITION

§  Choirs can choose any category to participate, but the choirs will not be evaluate. But still, can get the comment from jury and can join the “Meet the Jury” session.

All participants who take part in the 13th Bali International Choir Festival 2024 MUST pay the registration and Event Package.

A.      REGISTRATION FEE

Registration fee per category is USD 600

a.       EARLY BIRD 1 (Discount 50%)

Registration fee is USD 300 per category.

For 20 participants who register lates on September 13, 2023.

If the quota is used up, participants will be subject to Early Bird 2 registration.

b.      EARLY BIRD 2 (Discount 25%)

Registration fee is USD 450 per category

For participants who register lates on October 13, 2023.

c.       REGULAR REGISTRATION

Registration fee is USD 600 per category

For participants who register lates on January 13, 2024.

d.      LATE REGISTRATION

Registration fee is USD 700 per category

For participants who register lates on February 13, 2024.

e.       LATE REGISTRATION 2

Registration fee is USD 800 per category

For participants who register lates on March 13, 2024.

f.        LATE REGISTRATION

Registration fee is USD 900 per category

For participants who register after March 13, 2024.

B.      EVENT PACKAGE FULL BOARD

The committee provide Event Package which covered accommodation, Transportation and meals services.

Event Package Full Board is Mandatory for International Choir.

Participants will get:

·           ID CARD

1 (One) per person to perform in BICF13, entry to the competition, championship, friendship concert, award and the Closing Ceremony.

·           T-SHIRT

1 (One) T-shirt per person.

·           PROGRAM BOOK

1 (One) Book per person.

·           EXTRA REHEARSAL

1 rehearsal, at hotel or hall as per schedule.

·           ACCOMMODATION FULL EVENT 6D/5N

·           TRANSPORTATION

One airport service on arrival, city transport according to the BICF13 schedule, and one airport service on departure day.

·           MEAL (Meal Box at hotel or venue)

One Meal on arrival day, 3 (three) meals a day during the usage of Event Package Full-board, and one meal on departure day. All meals will be in hotel or restaurant accordingly.

·           LO / GUIDE

Will available from your choir arrival until departure as stated in the confirmation letter.

·           GALA DINNER

Exclusive for all Event Package Full-board.

·         Free 30 minutes Choir Clinic with one of the Choral Experts

b.       Choirs who complete the payment for Event Package no later than December 13, 2023 will get:

·         Group Name on T- Shirt

(Choir with Group Name on T-Shirt facility ONLY available when choir’s t-shirt data size submitted latest on January 13, 2024).
